KHEMEA - Arkhea Tourbillon Black
Description
Every curve of this watch has a meaning, and each component has a story. The watch is technical, modern. Its creation is artisanal. The decorations are handcrafted, and the components are made in a traditional way on ancestral machines: Hauser punch, Schaublin lathe, guilloche lathe.
The dial is an artistic expression, distinguished in 3 levels, 3 tones, and 3 textures. Highly crafted and maintaining a simple aesthetic, it reads as follows:
The hours and minutes are displayed on a white enamel dial (white gold base), off-centered at noon, proudly showcasing the hand-engraved KHEMEA logo.
The eye is then drawn to the left of this dial, to the silver moon carried by an aventurine disc. It has a clean line; the moon appears below the previously presented enamel dial and indicates its age using a half-moon insert.
Opposite this moon, and now to the right of the enamel dial, is another curiosity; a second aventurine disc. This is a poetic date indicator.
At the second level, the Guilloché. Simple and organic. On a silver base, it is handcrafted.
The Tourbillon subtly reveals itself through the opening of the guilloche. It is held by a bridge that carries the character of the dial, a sensual, characterful shape, yet very understated. This shadow, sometimes shiny, sometimes black (blocked polish), mystically follows the curves of the base of the logo.
The back of the watch is a technical dial. It is always pleasant to turn your watch when winding, to see the ratchet turn and the clicks come to life.
The direct view of the movement also allows visualizing the power reserve indication, which uses a cone differential, for the greatest aesthetic pleasure of watchmaking! This differential was invented by George Daniels and allows a natural display of the reserve on a small angle.
On the upper part, the ratchet is proudly highlighted by two finely crafted clicks.
Below, the hand-grained bridges delicately bear two jewels, one on the center wheel and the other on the power reserve wheel.
This watch skillfully combines art, technique, and reliability. The name of the watch takes on its full meaning here; ARKHEA, from "ARKHÈ" meaning origin, foundation, beginning... The first watch designed and created by a woman, from Khemea.
Designed and crafted by Shona Taine, independent watchmaker, this watch is an artistic creation filled with emotions.
