Description
M51, the name is evocative of a well-known Messier object. Messier, the great French astronomer, began cataloguing comets to join Halley in posterity.
After years of observing the deep sky, he began to classify the phenomena he observed in a catalogue that is still known today as the catalogue of Messier. These celestial objects include : M51, the Tourbillon Galaxy!
For us, astronomy has been a family passion for several generations, so it was perfectly logical to baptise our calibres with astronomical names linked to their genesis.
M51 is the “prepared” version of what Maëlstrom announced in the first year of our brand: a tourbillon, of course, but now refined with greater subtlety and detail.
The movement, partially opened is now reinterpreted with an architecture reminiscent of the "Hebdomas" of the heyday, and the finishes are correlated between the case and the movement: upper faces circled, sanded bottom, hand-polished bevels.
If the dials of the Maelstrom remain in the catalog, various custom-made creations are now available: screw-down, engraved or painted dials.
