FEARS
Founded in Bristol in 1846 by the young watchmaker Edwin Fear, Fears established itself as one of the oldest family-run watchmaking companies in the UK. Currently run by the sixth generation of the Fear family, the brand proudly perpetuates its heritage, merging tradition and modernity.
After withstanding the trials of World War II and closing in 1976, Fears experienced a renaissance in 2016 under the leadership of Nicholas Bowman-Scargill, a direct descendant of Edwin Fear. Since then, the brand celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2021, marking this milestone with the launch of the Archival 1930, the elegant reinterpretation of an Art Deco watch made by fears in 1930.
In 2022, Fears consolidated its links with Bristol by establishing a new headquarters and showroom in the historic city. The following year was marked by the launch of the Alliance 01 model, in partnership with the British brand Christopher Ward, and the Brunswick Au in solid 18 carat gold, introduced during the King Charles III's Coronation celebrations. Looking to the future, Fears continues to combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation.
