KAURI watches have been conceived to be original, unique, and especially durable, particularly through an innovative design of the case, composed of a steel structure ensuring the watch's water resistance and the attachment of the bracelet, allowing the wood to solely adorn the watch.

A watch clad in black, notably with its very sleek dial, yet with enough to pique curiosity. This model indeed reveals different shades of black with steel parts coated with a black DLC surface treatment, a black dial, and of course, a very dark wood for the case.

The latter was actually the real challenge during the design of this watch. It was necessary to find a black wood that would perfectly match the black of the lugs and steel bezel, as well as the black PVD sandblasted dial, but not only that. It was important to maintain the main quality of wood that makes it so unique: the sensation it provides to the touch and the warmth it naturally brings, balancing the coldness of the steel. It is the "Swiss Ebony" with its highly appreciated characteristics by the independent watchmaker, Samuel Gillioz, that won. This wood is local, from Swiss forests, and provides a very aesthetic appearance to the watch as well as durability and resistance over time. It's a new generation of walnut wood, entirely natural in its composition and technically improved through an innovative compression process. This makes it one of the densest and hardest woods in the world.

This new edition is available in 38mm or 41mm, depending on individual preferences, and is limited to only 20 exclusive pieces for each diameter.
